From Mauve to Mahvelous, Part 3: The Beauty

It's Theme Week: Totally 80s!

Here was my idea of vintage when I was a teen in the 80s:

How romantic.
This wasn't mine but it could have been.

I originally just bought this because it was a cheap frame and didn't intend to keep the pretty girl.  But instead I decided to give this Beauty an update by painting her frame a mix of white and glittery blue.

Just a hint of sparkle

Here is what I'm working on now:

I got it for 99 cents!
Stay tuned to see what I'm doing with it.
It's finished!  Click here!

  1. lol! awe those poor ducks! :)

Did you do something to the lady too? Her color seems to really pop in the updated photo. Or is that just the lighting?

  2. The ducks may have their chance one day. I'm seriously thinking of having a challenge where everyone can post their own thrift store duck and how they update it. I still don't think I'm up for it. As for the lady, I'd love to say that the blue frame was just what she needed to make her shine, but it was just the lighting.

  3. I love your Gibson girl! The color you used on the frame is perfection! And I love using glitter, too. Lots of glitter! Saw you over at Beyond the Picket Fence.
